My Story

Traditional healing

I grew up in a traditional Indian household where we would oil our hair together, sip fennel tea for tummy aches, and make turmeric poultices for bumps and bruises. My nanny’s traditional recipes were passed down to my mama and then to me; our rituals and seasonal cooking, and our use of spices as medicine have always been a part of my being.

Through formal study of the ancient wisdom I grew up with, I now understand why Ayurveda is so powerful, and how much it is needed today. I would love to share that knowledge with you.

We are led to believe that modern wellness needs to be expensive and complicated, but the ancient wisdom of Ayurveda shows us that very simple principles can have a big impact.

Common Questions

Frequently Asked Questions

What is Ayurveda?

An ancient Indian holistic system of wellness, Ayurveda focuses on natural remedies and creating and maintaining harmony between the mind, body and spirit.

What if I don’t know my dosha?

Everyone is born with an individual combination of the three doshas, or bioenergies. I’ll work with you to establish whether you’re experiencing an imbalance from your natural state and provide tailored advice to restore your feeling of wellness.

I don’t live in Brighton, can I still book?

Yes, I work face-to-face and with online clients over video calls. All consultations begin with a free discovery call. From there we can work out what will work best for you. It might be a one-off appointment, or it might be a series, based on what has brought you to Ayurveda.

Will I need to buy loads of stuff?

I will never ask you to buy anything, although you may choose to pop some specific spices into your weekly food shop. Ancient wellness was never about complicated routines or expensive remedies. Ayurveda is simple and natural, and you’ll soon see how you already have the tools you need within.

How does Ayurveda work alongside traditional medicine?

Ayurveda works alongside Western medicine and treatments. It is a complementary approach and so will integrate lifestyle approaches and natural remedies to help address the root causes of symptoms.

What if I don’t stick to the advice I’m given?

Ayurveda meets you where you are. We’ll work together to find the elements that are right for you, today.
